Never pay to audition or ‘join’ an agency. There are a lot of scams out there where they tell you they’re going to make a web page and take some nice photos of you for hundreds or thousands of dollars so that casting directors can see and book you, but no casting director is looking at those sites. They even put you through an ‘audition’ which everyone passes, then in the heat of excitement get you to sign an agreement to Real casting agencies make money by getting you work, not by fleecing people for useless ‘services.’ Be professional at all times, just like you would in any other job: arrive on time, don't be careless, and so on. Develop your professional brand, and work will come to you in droves.
